Ceratophrys Cornuta - Suriname Horned Frog

Known as one of the world’s least active frogs, as the wild ones takes less than 1 movement in 2 days. This secretive species spends most of its time hiding in the leaf litter and, in the wild, frogs make up a large part of its diet. The juveniles and young frogs are relative small and develop slowly, which can make feeding challenging and the lots of individual work makes this a higher priced species. In our experience, feeding them thawed frozen fish dusted with calcium powder has worked best. Red/Brown, Bicolor and Green variants are regularly available.

Ceratophrys stolzmanni – pacific horned frog

This species is the smallest of all real pacman frogs.
They are adapted to a drier climate, in the wild it spends much of the year buried in the ground during aestivation. It mainly feeds on insects, but it can also be kept successfully on fish-based diets.

We keep the green and red variants of this species, but usually they are available only for a short period of the year.

Ceratophrys sp. Fantasy - Hybrid Pacman frog

This is a hybrid Pacman frog, a cross between Ceratophrys cranwelli and Ceratophrys cornuta, combining the best traits of both. We keep many colour variants and often have juveniles available. This species is suitable for every biginner frog keeper, as very tolerant and fast grower. Despite hybrids, most of the individuals are not steril and possible to cross with the parent species.

Its wing-like pattern and light-colored throat distinguish it from Ceratophrys cornuta, although its body shape is very similar, just easier to keep.
